Glutamate neurotransmission and excitotoxicity in ALS;   influence of metabotropic glutamate receptors on neuron, astrocyte and microglia biochemistry and function in ALS;   modification of glutamate and GABA release mechanisms under stressing conditions and after antidepressant drug treatment.
